Our Story
Marrowild
began as a response to the gap between what we felt compelled to create and what we were told needed to be accessible and marketable.
But the wild things, the raw and honest marrow-deep pieces, kept demanding to be made. The work that felt too strange, too vulnerable, too unapologetic? Those were the pieces that mattered most.
The symbols and art we choose to surround ourselves with (even on our bodies) often emerge from a deep need to be seen and understood.
Marrowild
was born from one too many apologies for art that asks something of its audience: their compassion, their time, their full attention. This is a space for poetry that doesn't pause to explain itself and art that doesn't ask permission to exist. Not because we're being difficult, but because some truths cannot and
should not
be tamed.
This isn't about being obscure for the sake of it. It's about returning to what's essential: the way bone marrow is essential, the way wild things are essential.
No performative decoration. No moderation for marketability's sake. Just the work, bone-honest and breathing. Presented for those who seek to understand the depths of our shared humanity, and for those who have no idea where to begin but are willing to try.
We hope it resonates with you.
